Marc Sauvé

Biography

Marc practice includes civil and commercial litigation, with a particular emphasis on medical malpractice cases as well as catastrophic personal injury matters. Marc also has a busy commercial litigation portfolio, which includes representation of Crown Corporations, multinationals as well as municipalities. Marc has appeared before various administrative tribunals, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Court of Appeal for Ontario. 

Before joining Caza Saikaley, Marc worked for the RCMP and the Supreme Court of Canada. Marc was chosen by the Law Society of Ontario to create and teach the Civil Litigation course for the Law Practice Program. Marc is currently the President of the Association des juristes d’expression française de l’Ontario (AJEFO), having formerly sat as Vice-President and representative for all lawyers in Eastern Ontario.

Marc has recently become a member of various advisory committees to Justice Canada and to the Attorney General of Ontario, in addition to representing the AJEFO at Law Society of Ontario’s Equity and Indigenous Affairs committee.  

In 2019, Marc was the recipient of the Regional Senior Justice Award that honours a lawyer who has made an outstanding contribution as a litigator or as a solicitor within the profession through their excellence as a professional, as well as outside the profession by making an outstanding contribution to the community. 

When Marc is away from the office, he can be found on the pitch, at the rink or on the links.
